An absolute staple in any barn or on the road, the All in One Vet Kit is full of tried and tested supplies for everyday horse care. This vet kit includes a heavy duty gear bag with several compartments to keep your supplies organized just the way you want them to be. This bag has plenty of room to add whats already in your medical supply inventory or add necessary items for special cases like extreme allergies or even your stash of banamine/bute/etc.

Medical supplies in this kit include:

Stethescope for easy listening from a safe distance of gut sounds, respiration, and pulse.

A tourniquet to help stop bleeding on more severe wounds, as well as blood stop powder.

A digital thermometer for checking temperature of your equine companion.

Animalintex Hoof Poultice from 3M is a must for every equine first-aid kit! This pad that is ideal for cuts, wounds, abscesses, inflammation, skin disorders and hoof conditions.  It is pre-cut to fit perfectly to the bottom of the hoof. If you'd rather have the regular large size, we have a package of those too. Animalintex self contained Poultice Pads can be used as a hot poultice for abscess, boils, infected and dirty wounds, cracked heels, thorns, laminitis, seedy toe, and corns. Use as a cold poultice for strains, sprains, and bruises. Can be used as a dry dressing over open wounds or for pressure pad. Helps in wound healing, minor sprains and stiffness.

Fura-zone Ointment- an antibiotic ointment for the prevention, or treatment of surface bacterial infections of wounds, burns, and cutaneous ulcers.

DMSO is an anti-inflammatory used in the treatment of muscle trauma, swelling, tendinitis, laminitis, and arthritis. Combine with Fura-zone for a wonderful, antibiotic leg sweat. USE GLOVES WHEN HANDLING. This product has a million uses and should be a staple in every barn.

Biozide Wound Gel can be used with or without a bandage. Its a non staining and non-irritating topical antimicrobial gel containing Povidone-Iodine Complex, formulated for the purpose of creating a healing, infection free environment to protect the wound site and to promote problem free healing of injuries on all species of companion animals, but especially on horses. Biozide Gel is great for use on wounds, incisions, rain rot, lacerations, foot infections, barbed wire cuts, topical infections, rope burns, abrasions and on surgical sites. The gel does not melt or run off of the treatment site and the high viscosity and clinging properties of Biozide Gel and it's resistance to melting or freezing, makes it ideal for use in the stable or barn area or when the horse is pastured. In addition, Biozide Gel is just as easy to apply during the cold winter months (when other products freeze up) as it is in the summer, Biozide Gel keeps its consistency and does not melt. I have personally used this for YEARS with great luck.

Epsom salts are known for their anti-inflammatory properties. When used in a warm soak or poultice, they reduce swelling and inflammation in your horses muscles, joints or hooves. This makes them particularly useful for conditions like laminitis, abscesses, or sprains. Epsom salt is known for pulling water out of body which makes it a great option for speeding up recovery time on hoof abscesses.

Duct tape & Electrical tape- A duct tape bandage is often used to cover a horse's foot that has a sole abscess, bruise or wound to the sole. Commonly, a vet or farrier has created a hole in the sole to promote drainage of an abscess. You can also use a duct tape bandage to cover a sensitive soled horse with a pulled shoe until you can see your farrier. Electrical tape can be used on buckets, standing wraps, just about anything. Its a good idea to have both types in your kit for anything that might come up from covering sharp edges in a trailer or stall, a small electrical repair on the trailer, to keeping buckets as safe as possible to wrapping hooves or securing a standing wrap, and everything in between.

200 4x4 Gauze pads can be used in a number of different applications and are great for general cleaning, dressings, prepping, packing and debriding wounds. It can also be used as a temporary absorbent dressing over wounds and to keep wounds from sticking to the gauze roll. 4 gauze rolls are individually packaged and supplied in this kit which are great for holding pads in place on a leg wound or other situation that requires wrapping.

Iodine antiseptic spray complete with spray nozzle is great for use as topical antiseptic prior to surgical procedures. Rapidly kills bacteria and fungi commonly responsible for wound and skin infections. Also used for ringworm, footrot, skin sores, minor cuts, bruises and abrasions. May be applied to the navels of newborn animals, as a wound flush or on burns.

Gloves: Its always a good idea to be as clean as possible when dealing with equine wounds. several pairs of gloves are included in the kit and help protect you from the products you're applying while also keeping sensitive areas free from bacteria that could transfer to the wound from your hands.

Vetericyn Plus Eye Wash is a non-stinging solution that gently cleans the eyes and surrounding tissue to help relieve irritation and burning, remove debris, and control issues caused by mucous, pollen, and other irritants.

Diapers: each kit comes with a package of 3 diapers to aid in the treatment of hoof abscesses. Generally, I wash the affected area, soak in an epsom salt mixture, pack with an animalintex poultice pad, then cover with a diaper, allowing me to keep that area as clean as possible, before securing with a duct tape bandage. Diapers can make a huge difference on the eaze of applying a hoof poultice. I swear by it.

Coflex: Several rolls of coflex are included in this kit with hundreds of uses from wrapping a bandage to wrapping tails for a show, or even foal delivery, to securing an IV, Mane or other hair, wrapping sharp objects to keep horses from hurting themselves. The uses are endless. I always have a ton on hand.

Proudsoff Proud Flesh Ointment is for use in the control and removal of proud flesh from horses, cattle, sheep and goats. Easily applied, leaves desirable tissue and reduced scarring, effective and yet painless. No bandage needed. A little goes a long way.

Special Medical scissors with a blunt tip keeps your equine companion safe while changing bandages or cutting anything away from the animal in the event of a medical emergency. The special no cut tip is extra insurance that you don't accidentally injure your horse while attending to an emergency where they may not be as cooperative as they would ordinarily.

Lastly, we polled local vets in the area and they suggested a basic anatomy print out to help folks accurately describe where an injury may be in the event a vet is needed, and also a full list of proper parameters for vitals and how to check for them helping you really feel confident in your horses health. The front and back handout is laminated so if your kit lives in the barn, its not at risk for water damage or becoming illegible.
